About the Curator
After completing my Master’s in Rhetoric & Composition, I spent several years immersed in the world of print, developing my voice and building a name as a writer across local and national platforms—from newspapers and literary journals to lifestyle and arts publications. Language has always fascinated me—its ability to move, provoke, and connect. That fascination eventually led me to create something of my own.
In 2012, I launched {E-volved}, a self-published art magazine that explored the intersection of tattooing and fine art. {E} celebrated artists of all mediums and backgrounds, and quickly grew into an internationally distributed publication, stocked in hundreds of bookstores, galleries, and tattoo shops worldwide—including over 300 Barnes & Noble locations. It was a passion project turned underground phenomenon, driven by a love for raw creativity and a desire to spotlight those working outside the margins.
In 2022, after a decade in print, I made the difficult decision to sunset the magazine due to rising production and shipping costs. But Evolved was never meant to be static—it was always about transformation, about pushing forward.
And so, the next chapter begins.
Evolved Art Gallery is the magazine come to life—a brick-and-mortar extension of the ethos that built {E}. This space is dedicated to the bold, the bizarre, and the beautifully unconventional. We champion urban, emerging, and experimental artists—the weirdos, misfits, and visionaries who challenge the norms and reshape how we define art.
At Evolved, we believe in transformation through creation. Our motto—Create. Evolve. Repeat.—is more than a mantra; it’s a way of life.
Whether you’re a collector, a creator, or a curious passerby, you’re invited to step inside and experience a space where art disrupts, inspires, and evolves.
