Andrea Mendoza is a Latina designer born and raised in Oxnard, California. Rooted in her heritage, her parents—both immigrants from Michoacán, Mexico—serve as her greatest inspiration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from California State University Channel Islands.
Andrea entered the industry at nineteen working in screen printing, which ignited her passion for visual communication and design. Her work draws deeply from family tradition and Mexican and Latinx culture, incorporating vibrant palettes, traditional patterns, and cultural iconography.
Through research and cultural storytelling, Andrea develops expansive design concepts characterized by dynamic typography, thoughtful layouts, and nuanced color theory.
