Andres has spent his life traveling, chasing stories, and capturing the spirit of adventure through visual art. Based out of the WAV (Working Artists Ventura) artist studio lofts in Ventura, California, he has maintained an active painting practice for many years.
Following formal art training in Fresno and Santa Barbara, Andres began his professional career in the graphic novel industry as an artist assistant to industry legend Howard Chaykin. He has since published numerous graphic novels and children’s books, and expanded his narrative work into filmmaking—writing and directing short films and the feature-length documentary Small Town Quirky.
A dedicated educator and speaker on art and pop culture, Andres hosts the YouTube channels The Art of Comics and The Art Hub. He actively teaches across the region, instructing at the Vita Art Center, the Santa Paula Art Museum, the Buenaventura Art Association, and the Artist in the Classroom program throughout Ventura County.
