Chapel of Ghouls is an independent art project emerging from Grand Rapids, Michigan, focused on externalizing the internal specters of psychological struggle.
Working across painting, illustration, and mixed media, the project visually articulates the relentless, daily confrontation with mental health battles—including depression, anxiety, hypochondria, and existential dread. Rooted in the belief that healing begins by looking directly into the abyss rather than fleeing it, the work transforms personal torment into a shared visual language of resilience and understanding.
Above all, the project serves as an open testament to solidarity: seeking help is a strength, confronting your struggles is valid, and no one walks through the dark alone.
