Christian “Patch” Patchell is a Philadelphia-based artist, educator, author, and creative collaborator who famously lives by the theory: "Monsters & Robots make everything better." A central figure in the local art scene, he divides his time between creating art, teaching, and collaborating with the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society.
His illustrations have appeared on everything from comic books to greeting cards for major brands like Scholastic, Dark Horse Publishing, Yoe Books, Clover Press, Sourpuss Clothing, and major retailers nationwide. Patch is the creator of the award-winning animated short and comic series The Brothers Brimm, the online comic strip Monster Mondays, and the deeply personal book I Put the Can in Cancer: A Journey Through Pictures, which chronicles his visual journey through a life-changing battle with cancer.
