Ariane Kamps is a figurative painter working in traditional media to create otherworldly, dreamlike imagery rooted in memory, mythology, and the human story. Her work ranges from intimate portraiture to surreal landscapes. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Alchemy Art Loft in Central Alberta.
Kamps’ work has been featured in American Art Collector, the Wausau Museum for Contemporary Art, the International Biennial Portrait Competition, and the Surreal Salon. In 2024, she received the Artwalk Developing Visual Artist Award from the Red Deer Arts Council. Her paintings are held in public and private collections worldwide and have been included in The Lunar Codex, a time capsule sent to the moon.
