Acrylic on Gessoboard
12”x16” with hand painted frame 16”x20”
Jamie Burnside grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, finding a vital creative anchor and personal escape in art from an early age. She pursued formal art studies at Cal State Hayward in the mid-1990s, experimenting extensively with abstract styles before ultimately stepping away from her practice to refocus her creative direction. After a multi-year hiatus, Jamie returned to her craft with a renewed vision, integrating art and design into her adult life with a fresh perspective. Today, her practice focuses on narrative-driven illustration, and while exhibiting is a relatively new path for her, she is rapidly establishing her distinct voice within the contemporary art landscape. She currently lives and works in Santa Monica.
