Jordan earned his BFA from the University of Connecticut in 2001 before moving to Los Angeles in 2005, where he works as an actor, writer, and freelance artist. His diverse client list includes Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, ABC, Avalon Family Entertainment, Sony, and The Hollywood Fringe Festival. He is perhaps best known for his "classy and nerdy" papercut silhouettes of pop culture characters, which were featured in solo exhibitions at Hero Complex Gallery in 2015 and 2016. Currently, he shares his passion for the strange and unusual as the host of Channel for the Recently Deceased on YouTube.
Artist Statement:
"I saw Pee-wee's Big Adventure when it was released on VHS in 1986 and have been a fan ever since. I was heartbroken by Paul Reubens' passing and recently visited his grave at Hollywood Forever Cemetery to pay my respects.
While so many scenes from the film are iconic, the moment where Pee-wee runs out of the burning pet shop holding handfuls of snakes is permanently burned into my memory. As someone who is also terrified of snakes, I know without a doubt I would have the exact same expression on my face if I were in his shoes."
