Lauren M. Wong is a visual artist based in Seattle, Washington, whose work investigates emblems of fragility, resilience, and empowerment.
Working with bold, meticulous ink—both analog and digital—Wong weaves intertwined relics of decay with themes of growth and transformation. Her mark-making serves as a visual navigation of the complex expectations placed upon matriarchal figures. By layering living organisms, skeletal remnants, and objects imbued with symbolic power, she constructs a personal memento mori—representing the protective armor forged through motherhood.
