Steve Cefalo studied Illustration and Painting at the School of Visual Arts in New York, counting master artists Steven Assael, Max Ginsburg, and Nelson Shanks among his many teachers.
As an oil painter, Steve draws deep inspiration from the Baroque, Symbolist, and Surrealist movements. He shared his expertise as an instructor of Painting and Figure Drawing at various universities and art schools from 2003 to 2015. Today, he continues to paint and illustrate from his studio in Charleston, South Carolina.
